TV Spider Kit & Specifications
The TV SPIDER Kit (kit-125-vaq) is a video RF distribution system, which uses a TV SPIDER Video Hub to modulate a video/audio signal onto CATV RF channel 125 and a TV SPIDER Cable Entry Signal Director to deliver it to all TV sets in the home. The kit consists of:
The TV SPIDER Video Hub interfaces consist of:
The TV SPIDER Video Hub RF COAX input connects to the existing COAX cable which is attached to the audio/video equipment unit i.e. Cable set top box. The RF COAX output is then connected to the RF COAX input of the audio/video equipment unit. The composite video and 2 audio outputs are connected to the composite video and 2 audio inputs of the TV SPIDER Video Hub. The composite video and 2 audio outputs of the TV SPIDER Video Hub is connected to the composite video and 2 audio inputs of the television. The TV SPIDER Video Hub takes the RF COAX signal from the Cable TV provider and passes the signal through the Hub to the Cable set top box. The composite video and audio from the set top box are connected to the input of the Hub. The Hub takes this base-band signal and modulates the signal to channel 125 and outputs this now RF COAX signal back onto the COAX cable connected to the Hub’s COAX input. The TV SPIDER Video Hub is powered by the 12 volt power cube. Please visit the installation page to see the different ways the TV SPIDER Video Hub is connected when used with a digital cable receiver, digital/analog cable, satellite set top box, home theater A/V receiver, DVD player, TiVo, and VCR. The TV SPIDER Cable Entry Signal Director interfaces consist of:
The COAX input 1 is connected to the COAX cable coming from the Cable TV provider. The COAX input 2 is connected to the cable coming from the TV SPIDER Hub. The COAX output is connected to the COAX input of the cable splitter which splits the RF signal to other COAX cables which go to every TV in the home. The TV SPIDER Cable Entry Signal Director takes the RF signal from the TV SPIDER Hub and outputs that signal along with the RF signal from the Cable TV provider to the COAX distribution splitter. A filter prevents channel 125 from passing into the COAX cable coming from the Cable TV provider. Channel 125 is passed to the COAX distribution splitter so that it may be seen on any TV in the home selected to channel 125. The TV SPIDER Cable Entry Signal Director requires no external power. This is a passive device. The installation of the TV SPIDER Cable Entry Signal Director is identical when used with any audio/video equipment. TV Spider Technical Specifications |
